Artifact 3
In this artifact, I present How To Win At Internet Arguments, a fun way to discuss the digital citizenship and online etiquette. Growing up with the development of technology integration in schools, I have definitely witnessed the struggle to establish safe and ethical practices online. In this video, I address just a small part of that—etiquette in online discussions. Many people waste their time and energy getting into flame wars online. It has become symptomatic of our society that people have fight arbitrary battles with one another when their creative and critical thinking skills could be far better used elsewhere. In my artifact, I used the conceit of winning an Internet argument to discuss rhetorical strategies, but then provided a better outlet for students to express whatever discourse is troubling them. There is a lot of great though that students could be channeling into assignments that put into perspective their power as writers.
